Questions

Which European Amex has the best Flying Blue ratio?

Amex Belgium 2:1, Amex Netherlands 2:1, Amex UK 1:1, Amex France 5:4, Amex Germany 5:4. A higher second number means more miles per point.

Can I use a US or UK transfer ratio on my European Amex?

No. Partners and ratios are set per issuing country. A card issued in Belgium follows the Belgian catalogue, wherever you live or spend.

Why are European ratios worse than in the US?

Many European Amex cards earn more points per euro, and some partners price European transfers differently, so a 2:1 ratio is not automatically a bad deal. Compare what a trip costs in points against the cash fare.

Each country page lists its sources. US cards: Amex Membership Rewards (US). Bonuses: transfer bonuses today.
