UAE cards are issued by American Express Middle East (servicing in Bahrain). The public americanexpress.ae Membership Rewards page says points can go to 'frequent flyer miles with 13 leading airlines' and hotel programmes, but publishes no partner list or ratios. The transfer catalogue needs a login. It values points at 250 MR = USD 1 for Pay with Points. MR points do not expire. The only officially confirmed UAE ratio is Emirates Skywards 2:1, from Emirates' own Amex partner page. No established blog (Frequent Miler, OMAAT) covers the UAE partner list. The only list found is one 2026-05-08 article on the-global-resident.com. Its ratios are recorded in notes with ratio null, as unconfirmed, and it predates the June 2026 Etihad exit. Hotel partners (Marriott, Hilton, etc.) could not be confirmed for UAE cards and are omitted. Do not use the en-xb 'international currency card' or UK pages as a proxy: their ratios differ.
Recently removed or suspended
- Etihad Guest. The Global Resident (2026-05-08) listed Etihad at 3:2 for UAE cards. Head for Points calls Etihad's exit from Membership Rewards a global withdrawal with dates varying by market: UK and international currency cards 2026-06-22, India 2026-07-01. The UAE end date was not confirmed; treat it as likely removed around late June 2026.
