Good to know
Amex HK lists 10 partners: 7 airline, 3 hotel. All airline partners are 18,000 MR = 1,000 miles (18:1). The public page says this rate applies to Turbo Program members and that cardmembers should log in to see their card's rate. Amex HK's own 2025-2026 marketing (Platinum Accelerator T&Cs, Explorer page) works out miles at 18 MR = 1 mile, and the 1 Dec 2023 change notice (quoted on LIHKG) set 18,000:1,000 for Centurion, Platinum, Platinum Credit, Explorer, Essential, Gold and the other Turbo-enrolled cards, so 18:1 applies across consumer cards. Corporate cardmembers get 12,000 MR = 1,000 miles (about-program page). Before 1 Dec 2023 the rate was 15:1 (TPG 2020), which TPG's older table still shows. Fees: HK$400 per airline transfer, waived for Centurion, Explorer and Corporate cards; Qantas transfers carry a HK$300 admin fee (not for Centurion/Corporate); hotel transfers are free. MR-earning cards include The Platinum Card, Platinum Credit Card, Explorer, Essential, Gold and Green; Blue Cash does not earn MR. Explorer MR accounts are kept separate from charge-card MR accounts. Emirates Skywards transfers are 'unavailable until further notice' because of system maintenance. Conflict: loyalty.hk (Feb 2026) claims Amex HK MR transfers to Asia Miles at '1:1.25' from 2026 and that KrisFlyer is 3:2. That mixes up US/other-market ratios and contradicts Amex HK's own page, so we ignore it. The AwardTool 'Amex to Hong Kong' page shows US MR ratios, not HK ones.
Recently removed or suspended
- Emirates Skywards. Suspended, not formally removed: Amex HK says transfers to Emirates Skywards are 'unavailable until further notice' because of system maintenance. Start date not given on the HK page; Amex Singapore's equivalent suspension began 29 May 2025 (MileLion). The previous HK ratio is not shown.
