In Switzerland Amex cards are issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH, and the programme is still called Membership Rewards, run through americanexpress.ch and the Swisscard rewards shop. It is separate from the German and other EU programmes and has its own ratios. The official rewards shop lists 6 partners: 4 airline, 2 hotel. Swiss is the only Amex market here with a direct Miles & More transfer. The shop gives no minimums, increments, transfer times or fees (those are on detail pages and in the T&Cs, not fetched). Cards that earn MR: American Express Card, Gold and Platinum. Classic tier earns 1 point per CHF 1, Basic 1 per CHF 2. The American Express Card's Classic tier is optional at CHF 54.05 a year. Meilenoptimieren (26 Oct 2026) matches the official ratios. Its claim that Iberia, Qatar, Finnair, Aer Lingus, Vueling and Loganair are 'indirect' partners at 3:2 just means moving Avios on from BA; an older Meilenoptimieren page saying 5:4 is out of date. Etihad Guest appeared on americanexpress.ch in May 2025 but is not in the current shop list (removal date unconfirmed). Accor's 2026 Amex roll-out is not confirmed for Switzerland.
